What is TOEFL?
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is an academic English language test developed by the Testing Service (ETS) in the United States. It is designed for non-native English speakers and is accepted by over 11,500 universities, institutions, and colleges in over 160 countries. The TOEFL exam covers four sections: Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. Each section is scored out of 30, for a total of 120. TOEFL scores are valid for two years.

Exam Content

Reading 35 minutes
20 questions (2 academic articles, multiple-choice questions)
Read the paragraph and answer the questions.

Listening 36 minutes
28 Questions (2 dialogues, 3 academic lectures, multiple-choice questions). Answer questions related to the short lectures or classroom discussions.

Speaking 16 minutes
4 missions (1 independent mission, 3 combined missions)
Talk about a familiar topic and discuss the material you have read and heard.

Writing 29 minutes
2 tasks (1 general task, 1 academic discussion task)
Read the passage, listen to the recording, and enter your response.
State and support opinions in online class discussions.
